Only been once, months ago but a heads up on some of the items. They are pro raw so the beans in the chili will seem undercooked to most...and yes the taster I had needed seasoning. Good to ask about anything ahead of time and even after you are served...even if you don't like it you may learn something.

I had the white whist smoothie. It was delicious. And very refreshing on a hot day. The chocolate walnut cookie was also incredible. And the staff were very friendly. The place is very clean. I wish I discovered it sooner in my vacation.

On business in FL and discovered Fresh First on my way to another restaurant and boy was this my lucky day. This little gem of a cafe is tucked away but well work the journey. If you prefer clean, organic, gluten-free food prepared in fabulously inventive manner, this is your kind of place. I had a quinoa "burger" with spicy slaw and it was to die for. The salads looked incredible and I almost resorted to blindly dropping my finger down onto a random item and ordering. Awesome. Can't wait for another trip to FL!

Ok..first visit so giving 5 stars is hard to justify but what I ate was pretty amazing. I ran into the place because I was working at the convention center across the street and all organic..all gluten free was so nice..didn't have to ask a lot of questions! I knew it would be pricey for lunch but decided to check it out. A special soup each day of the week. Today is Tuesday so it was cauliflower & almond soup...if I could have I'd stolen the pot and ran..I would have! I also had the Asian salad minus the beets & add some cheddar cheese & organic chicken..loved it! Green ice tea to drink..as I expected it was pricey for lunch $26 ... but we'll with it! I'm here ask week working well go back!

I LOVED this place. LOVED!!! I am gluten-free and honestly, this was the best GF food I've had at any restaurant. I loved the fact that the entire menu is GF, and there were so many options. I was in town on vacation for 5 days, and I came here 3 times. The breakfast was delicious - I had the egg sandwich with sweet potato hash on the side and it was to die for. Love the waffle bread! For lunch, my sister and I came and we each had sandwiches, which were equally delicious. My favorite thing about this place is their bread, and they even let me order 6 buns to take home with me (what is used for sandwiches and burgers). I made them last as long as possible. I wish they shipped them! I would pay a premium for it, it's that good!!! I was so impressed by this place - I've been home for several weeks and still can't stop talking about it. What a gem!

I'm obsessed. I just recently was diagnosed with Diabetes. When I walked in, I talked to the lady behind the counter and she gave me really good pointers on what I should get since I do have diabetes and I am fairly not "in the know" with what I should and should not eat at this moment. I have tried some of the juices before, but this day, I got the rainbow juice and chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. EVERYTHING was so great and I absolutely love this place. I wish I could afford to eat here everyday. The service was quick and very informative!!

This type of restaurant gives vegans a bad name. Ordered the vegan chili to start and it was awful. The beans were undercooked and there was absolutely no seasoning. The only thing that made it edible was the array of hot sauces they brought to the table. The quinoa burger was decent but again in desperate need of seasoning. My girlfriend had the tuna melt which she liked. The slaw was okay. They charge for filtered water. I'm not going to hold the terrible service against them seeing as how they just opened and our server looked like she was about to loose her mind. The staff is poorly run. The person in charge was too busy talking to the customers instead of helping out the one server who clearly needed help. Won't be eating her again. Spent $50 and left hungry. Green bar is less expensive and much better two block away.

Loved this place!! The Gluten-free bread was the best I ever had! Mary the Visionary and Chef was able to tell us everything about the ingredients she uses in her dishes. She knows her stuff! She does not serve corn because of the GMO issues, serves filtered water, only serves tuna that is line caught and she know who catches it, this is not just a meal it is an education. It is obvious to me Mary is passionate about bringing healthy fresh food to Fort Lauderdale. I though the portions were just right, why do people need to gorge? Prices were inline with a place that serves fresh organic gluten-free food. There is no WiFi because Mary told me this is a place to connect not disconnect! I wish we had a place like this in Toledo! The only suggestion is add something to the slaw or at least add more dressing.

I tried this place for the first time this past Saturday, and I can say that I am impressed. The food was fresh and very tasty. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of potato salad (they were out of ground turkey). The French pressed coffee was to die for!! My boyfriend had the quinoa burger and we both really enjoyed our meals. The only negative would be the wait time for service. They seemed to be adequately staffed, but we felt a little ignored for the first few minutes. We found a seat and looked around until finally making eye contact with someone. Lucky for us, the owner was there and was able answer our questions regarding the preparation of certain items. She was awesome and sincere. Overall, it was a great experience, and it's really not easy to find truly organic and raw eateries in the area. We will definitely be back soon to try some of the other items on the menu.

Found this gem today! I had a breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon. It was quite good. Loved the French press coffee. High quality, organic food made with the special touch that makes this place a cut above the rest. I will come back for lunch soon.

I work close to the area and am always looking for something healthy to eat for lunch. I was really excited to try this place when I read the reviews and was not disappointed! I tried the chicken salad sandwich, potato salad, and banana smoothie. Both were very yummy and fresh tasting. Our waiter (blonde guy) was very nice and helpful. I heard they also offer cooking classes which I would love to try. I will definitely be coming back! I was very surprised that some other reviewers complained about the pricing for water. It is $1 per person for unlimited refills for filtered water! Really?? $1 is too much for clean water? Where else do you get filtered (not tap) water for free? You pay at least $1.50 for a bottled water everywhere. I am very happy to see someone that offers filtered water in refillable glass bottles that aren't creating waste like other restaurants which charge way more for a fiji or a panna water.

I was very excited to try this new restaurant, and was disappointed. The place is very nice, and perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe they're still new, and they deserve a second chance. But for an $18 salad, I expected something tastier. The salad I had was very fresh, but it was supposed to have a mango dressing which I thought would be fabulous, but I think they forgot to add it. It was oily and tasteless. I ended up asking for more salad dressing, which they brought me in the tiniest container they could find, so it wasn't enough, and it seemed different that what was already on my salad. It was still tasteless, so I asked for some Braggs. The tuna was dry, and the vegetables added other than the greens were tiny and stingy. The carrot juice was delicious, and at the end, our waiter (who seemed very new and insecure) brought us a bottled water without us asking. That was a nice touch.

I travel on biz to FT Lauderdale area fairly often. I'm always looking for a healthy organic /GF cafe/ juice bars. So, I was excited to stumble upon Fresh First. However, first impressions were less than impressive... Day 1: I walked in and the owner was sitting on her laptop at the main bar in the restaurant; (note: I don't want to dine next to you while you're doing work/yelling out orders, etc.- very unprofessional... find an office). Next- I heard the table behind me request to substitute something and the owner made it very clear (several times and not in a friendly way) that they typically up charge for that. I proceeded to order the oatmeal but requested fresh fruit instead of raisins plus walnuts- she told me it was and up charge of $3,00. when it came out there were only 10 blueberries- I then asked for almond milk and inquired if that was extra too, but apparently this was included so all in all it was $12 for a bowl of oatmeal with walnuts and 10 fresh blueberries (unbelievable). I also wanted to order a smoothie but she said the avocado's were bad (she couldn't control her shipments) she advised she would omit the avocado but still charge me the same price (nice). The server took my order but the owner did not allow her to do her job and was interjecting and answering for the server, when I was asking MY server questions not the owner (why do you have servers?? if you want to control everything then run the place yourself. you should give your staff autonomy to make decisions!) Day 2- Although the first day I felt very unwelcome and disenchanted by the owners unfriendly attitude I did not have many choices of restaurants since I am on Dr Furhman diet "Fit for Life" and have special dietary requirements. So I thought i would give it one more try before heading to Whole Foods, which was further from my hotel. So try #2...- I walked in and now the daughter is on her laptop/phone doing business at the bar. I ask for the same smoothie and still no fresh avocados. She again, offered no alternatives and wanted to charge same price. (why wouldn't they go to whole foods or something and get some avocado until a fresh shipment came in??) ... I walked out and googled juice bars in area and found Greenbar & Kitchen a few blocks away ( yeah) ... They were not open yet but the owner was kind enough to open a bit early for me. Greenbar was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and the smoothies are out of this world (and they even substituted items at no additional charge!). I will be going to Greenbar every mooring until my departure on Sunday!! I guess things happen for a reason :).

My boyfriend recently found out he has Celiac Disease and I have been struggling in making the change to a Gluten-Free diet, which I am doing to support of him. He discovered this restaurant by chance and thank goodness he did!! Not only was it absolutely delicious but the employees and owner were amazing! He ordered the BLT and I had the Farm House Rice Bowl. The owner came out the greeted us personally since she noticed we were new customers. We talked for a long while and she was very informative and helpful! We learned a lot from our conversation with her and greatly appreciate the education (we needed it!). I love the idea we can pre-order a loaf of their homemade bread and pick it up since that has been the hardest thing to find of good quality and taste. I recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE!!!!

I went to this restaurant twice while in town with my husband. He was in town for business, so both times I went alone. I absolutely loved the food and drinks! For breakfast I had a delicious smoothie and fruit bowl. I liked it so much that I went back the next day for lunch. At lunch I had the vegetable panini and pink juice. It was all delicious. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Fresh first was beyond disappointing. No flavor, overpriced food with service to match! Vegan chili was undercooked and unedible. Quinoa burger was mush on bread. So many better gluten free/ vegan places around Fort Lauderdale!

Absolutely delicious and warm & friendly service...you feel like you're a guest in a friend's home (one who can REALLY cook & bake!). We've waited a long time for a healthy, TASTY restaurant and this was well worth the wait. The GF waffles are melt in your mouth...they made me an egg sandwich on one and it was incredible. Everything I've had has been fresh & delicious.

  • Nathalie M.

Very disappointed. The staff was not friendly, and the food was sub-par. I had the asian salad and the raw lentil burger...the burger was alright, but the salad did not seem super fresh and had very little of the ingredients that were listed as part of it. Not willing to pay $30 for food that tastes like something from a bag.

Ok, I'm speechless. This place is amazing. I can honestly say there is no other restaurant that cares more about people and food than this place. I literally bring my family, parents and friends here at least 3-4 times a week. 100% gluten-free, heaven for anyone with Celiac's (1 family member and 2 friends of mine have Celiac disease) and a menu that is actually fun and interesting. I feel like a little kid who just stumbled across his first jungle gym lol. First off, the egg sandwich is ridiculously good, actually it's addictive. Add the red & sweet potato salad and chicken apple sausage and I would bet anything you'd have a smile from ear to ear. For lunch, its either 2 tuna melts or the quinoa veggie burger (it's better than a real beef burger....did you just hear what i said?... I could cry out of sheer tastebud happiness). Kids love the grilled cheese and vegan chili. All in all, there is more than just great tasting, healthy food here. This place goes above and beyond. Just ask the owner or her daughter where the wild tuna is from and you'll see what I mean. Ask about the Waffle Bread and Quinoa cupcakes, the juices and filtered water (I believe its filtered 5 or so times over, and yes it is definitely worth a dollar). I don't even want to know what kind of water I'm drinking when I go out to other places. It definitely feels good to know my friends and family are in great hands here. Thank you Mary and Francesca, a dynamic duo you most certainly are. Cheers to health and happiness.

I have been a patron of Fresh First since it opened last year. It's great to have a gluten free restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale that's conveniently located on the east side of town that has such a diverse menu. I love their changing daily selections of soups and I must say that the spinach turkey burger is one of my favorites. The seasonings on it make the flavor very "special". The atmosphere is very nice, the place is always spotless and the staff is friendly, attentive and PROMT. I'm not one to wait. As much as I eat there, I use their juices "on a take out" basis. I'm type 2 diabetic and a big part of keeping my blood sugar in line is drinking fresh juice which they make for me and I pick up twice a week. I have also done their individual meal plans which they prepare and I eat at home. That regime has absolutely changed my personal health 180 degrees. The owner, Mary, and her daughter, Francesca, take care of me like family. I can't say enough positive things about this restaurant.

Went here for breakfast and the place was empty. Coffee not very strong or hot and had to get up to request sugar. My omlet was extremely bland and a touch overcooked. Hubby got a tofu scramble that was bland. Daughter got a pancake, and we honestly thought it might have been undercooked, but the server said gluten free pancakes are just gummy. Cinnamon seems to be the spice of choice I'm everything. Potatoes on side were tasty as was the waffle that came with my omlet. I appreciate that they are trying to have a place for folks with gluten allergies but that doesn't mean bland. (They did take the pancake off or bill)

Visit of Tuesday, Feb 25, 2014. Very clean and well decorated eatery tucked into a corner just a stone's throw from the entrance to Bimini Boatyard. In fact, we valeted there and walked over. Parking is an issue. The quinoa bowl with roasted vegetables was excellent; flavorful and filling. The princess had the Mock Tuna Sandwich with flax seed crackers for bread (this store is totally gluten free and organic). It was a bit skimpy. The sandwich portions are small. The 250lb guy at a nearby table raised his eyebrow when they served him a Castleburger sized sandwich. Gluten must be what makes everything bigger (including us?) . I recommend the tropical tea or the green tea. Both were very refreshing. Don't expect synthetic sweeteners from the laboratory (i.e. No Splenda, Equal, etc). Only real foods allowed. I like that they do offer real albacore tuna so while some of the dishes are vegan, you can have some animal proteins. The server was attentive and even made conversation about a restaurant logo I had on my shirt. I always teach servers to look at what the customer is wearing and use it appropriately, of course, as a point of engagement. Points to work on might include the ticket times; over 15 minutes for our two items. The sandwich portions could be a little larger. It's good to eat healthy but the meal should meet your hunger half way, say, at least until the next meal. Overall, a nice eatery for healthy, organic, and gluten free diets.

Good service, nice background music. Kitchen a little loud, but not bad. Had very good made to order oatmeal and a nice green tea for breakfast. Re: someone's comment about charging for water, to be fair it is an organic restaurant. They bring chilled, filtered water to your table in a cute clasp bottle. Parking lot out front is rental car lot, but you can park in garage next door and get card validated.

Finally had a chance to stop in after wanting to try Fresh First since I moved to Fort Lauderdale three months ago. We dropped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a blissful blue smoothie to share (recommended by our server -- was excellent and not too sweet), the tuna melt, and the double stack chicken burger with red and sweet potato salad. Everything was fantastic. I especially loved the gluten-free waffle that the tuna melt was served on. The gluten free bun that came with the chicken burger that my boyfriend ordered was also fabulous. We didn't have room for dessert but all the more reason to come back and try the quinoa cupcake and homemade ice cream! Our server also kindly informed us that Fresh First 17th Street is celebrating its 2 year anniversary next Thursday and Friday with half-price menu items-- I can't wait to get back here-- the macaroni and cheese and zucchini puttanesca on my must-try list along with all of the desserts. :)

Over priced for what you get and the food is nothing special but we were there right after they had just opened and being that it is a mom & pop place I think it is important to support local businesses and I would try them again.

I was in Ft. Lauderdale for the day and was in search of a dedicated gluten free food place. My first try was a place that must have closed down. I headed over to fresh first after calling to make sure that they were still open. Upon entering, the restaurant itself looks fairly simple. It smelled kind of odd though which was a little off putting to begin with. They are 100% gluten free which is awesome as a celiac. Not having to ask specific questions and just being able to look at everything on the menu is great. The server was a nice guy and made sure to pay attention to each patron. I ordered the grilled chicken (on waffle) sandwich with a side of red and sweet potato salad for an extra .50 cents. Wait time was alright, probably 10 minutes to receive my sandwich. When it arrived at the table the first thing I noticed was that the bread was a dainty roll of sorts and not a waffle. I didn't mention anything to the server because I had no patience (took a red eye flight and only slept 2 hours). As I took my first bite, the smell in the air was continuously bothering me. The chicken came along with raw spinach and what seems like half a grilled yellow pepper. The taste was pretty basic I.e. No manipulation of flavor just chicken with a little salt and pepper - simple food. The potato salad- with veganaise) - tasted pretty good, probably the best part of the plate. I finished to the last bite including the sprouts that were out on the plate, probably as a garnish of sorts. I paid and left feeling decently full. My recommendation would be to make sure that the smell is more pleasant for the diners experience and perhaps a little more flats on the food to give it a little umph.

Loving this place! I wish we lived here and could come here everyday! We were in Ft Lauderdale for a cruise and I was in search of a gluten-free breakfast spot. This place happened to be attached to the hotel we stayed at, and by far the best gluten-free breakfast I've ever had! The wait staff was extremely friendly and their french pressed coffee was a reminder of the coffee I drank growing up at home. I had the Eggs Benedict and my husband had the Belgian waffle and both were outstanding! We need to plan a trip back just for breakfast!

The food is TRULEY organic. Most places claim to be organic and fresh but, you can actually taste it at Fresh First. The lemonade is great and so is the Tune Melt! The juice I had was called Orange and had a lot of ingredients but tastes mostly like carrots.. I would add a little less carrots. They are fresh though! Staff is friendly and the place is never packed. Definitely a must try in Fort Lauderdale.

Loved this place ! Came here for breakfast with the hubs one day before work. I had the eggs Benedict (really delicious and the hollaindaise sauce was delicate and yummy) and my hubby has the breakfast sandwich. Each breakfast came with either potato salad or apples , we got apples and ordered s green smoothie. Will be back very soon to try more of their organic and delicious breakfasts.

What's that, an ALL GLUTEN-FREE restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale? This is the beginning of a wonderful vacation. One of my travel mates selected this one from an internet search, looking for a place that could support the food choices and sensitivities or allergies of a large group. Fresh First did NOT disappoint. In fact, I want to go back just for brunch (note: closed Sundays!). They proved that gluten-free food doesn't have to be banal or tasteless (in fact, their entire restaurant is gluten, corn and peanut free; they are also vegan/vegetarian friendly). Their menu spanned everything from mac and cheese to sandwiches and salads and soups -- and a whole dessert menu of baked goods or smoothies. Tip: GET THE QUINOA CUPCAKE. I want to learn how to replicate this sweet, sweet thing at home. It was fantastic. 100% of all available gluten-free stars, Fresh First!

I discovered Fresh First by mistake about one year ago when I was staying at the attached Renaissance hotel, right near the cruise port. My wife and two boys all keep a gluten-free diet, so this was amazing find. One year later, we are still going out of our way to find this place on visits to southern Florida. All of their items are gluten free and prepared daily in their restaurant. Our favorites include but are not limited to their hummus sandwich on flaxseed bread, tuna melt on waffle bread, and their chili. Their side dishes, such as their homemade cole slaw and potato salads are great too. Wash it down with one of their juices, and you are on your way. In an age where it's still hard to find tasty gluten free food, this place is the real deal. Their staff is awesome as well. The family can't wait to go back.

Guys, if you hungry but you want to stay with healthy choices this place will be right for you! Place is very simple but stuff is Mega friendly and food is great! Again in a menu you won't find any complicated dishes, everything is very simple. So this place remind me about diner, but much healthier version of it. You won't leave hungry or unsatisfied, because food cooked with love and portions are big! I came couple time for breakfast, eat quinoa bowl w blueberries one time and oatmeal w almond milk and raisins another time, both was great and very very satisfying! I will recomend this place to anyone who is not looking for something fancy but for healthy and tasty meals!

Great concept- all organic spot with tasty dishes. Went in for lunch and was quite satisfied. Had the pea and roasted garlic soup which was awesome- topped w diced red peppers. Spinach turkey burger was perfect blend of flavors of turkey, goat cheese, and cranberry chutney. Rice bowl with chicken tasted very fresh and light but thought it could've used a tad bit more salt or garlic. Overall- very good food, friendly owner. Only real downside is location- it's kinda tucked away in a corner of a strip mall. I'll be back though

Lunch Review: I give the menu, price-value, and atmosphere 4 stars, but the service made for a 5 star experience. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, even if you're like me and not a regular organic/gluten free/Monsanto free ambassador of freshness and culinary responsibility. I found that there were many appetizing choices and had a pleasantly difficult time deciding. Joann was helpful in offering suggestions and samples and so I had the vegan chili, fried quinoa salad with egg, a sample of the "pink juice", and a lovely lil' cookie to go. Everything was so delicious and fresh and moral. I felt like such a better person when I left. No seriously it was a great lunch. Regarding some of the negatives from the other reviews - it looks like they stopped charging for the filtered water... even though I find that to be completely legit (obviously there is a cost to the owner to serve better water) And I personally didn't experience poor service, long waits, or bath water chili (just the opposite). My only negative would be that their hours are limited. Bottom line - definitely worth checking out, I doubt you'll be disappointed!

The waffle bread is amazing. This is one of the few truly "100% organic and gluten-free" restaurants in South Florida. However, you would not even know it because everything tastes so good. The soups, juices, smoothies, salads and sandwiches are all delicious and worthy of praise. My favorite lunch item is the quinoa bowl with the fried egg and grilled chicken.

Very clean place and nice, relaxing decor. The fresh juices are delicious and made to order when you order them. Service was very prompt and friendly, and our wait or was able to make some good suggestions for us. Fried quinoa with egg was divinely delicious. Perfect blend of flavors and great selection of veggies mixed in. My friend had the turkey burger and said it was delicious as well, and the cheese waffle sandwich looked dangerously delicious. I wish we were staying closer to this place - if so, I'd be back every day!

Very very hidden. Unless you're searching for it and using a GPS you won't find it. It's in the back corner of a shopping center on 17th. Cool concept. A bit pricey. They offer cleansing meals and all gluten free food. The white smoothie was really great. The white bean soup was beyond bland and Luke warm. Gross. I'm all for healthy, but there's no reason why a healthy soup has to taste like cold bath water. Also, we got to choose between bottle or filtered water. We chose filtered and then were billed 2 dollars because they poured it out of a carafe. Gimme a break.

Fantastic first meal in Ft. Lauderdale. Entirely gluten free, vegan friendly, and delicious. I had the mock tuna and my husband had the raw lentil burger. Add the red & sweet potato salad for fifty cents - tasty. Finish with the vegan chocolate chip cookie. Yes please!!

Let's just start with the fact that I felt really disappointed when I got and ate my food. I was actually pretty excited to try this out because of everyone's reviews. I'd never heard of this place and decided to give it a shot for lunch. I came in and ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Something innocuous and seemingly easy to do well. It even sounded good. I also got some water, which they had the audacity to charge for ($1 for 'filtered water', are you kidding?). The food came out way too fast, and made me question how "fresh" it actually was. The sandwich bread and the chicken salad itself, was, unfortunately, really bland. The bread reminded me of paper or cardboard and I could make better chicken salad at home in an hour. I was really expecting more (and could get a lot better at Panera down the street). I was left still hungry afterwards. On the positive side, the service was alright (maybe felt a little too pushy). My takeaway from all this is that if you want good, gluten-free organic-type stuff, stick with the meatless Green Bar & Kitchen down the street and closer to US1. Much better food and friendlier service.

I work right across the street and I'm at Fresh First at least once a week. I try to live a healthy lifestyle and eat clean. Fresh first makes it easy and enjoyable to eat wholesome foods. It's worth a try for those of you who haven't! :)

Delicious, healthy food...I have NEVER been disappointed here and I leave feeling satisfied by having a great, gluten free, organic meal. Great staff, especially Matt who truly is the sweetest person.

If only every restaurant could be set up like Fresh First, dining as we know it would be revolutionized. At least for those who are food conscientious. I visited while I was on vacation in Fort Lauderdale from Ohio and was blown away. I'm a vegetarian and often look for local, organic and well, good-for-you spots but, they're far and few between. The interior is simple and inviting. The menu was incredible and unique. The lime sweet potato salad (served as a side)...try it! Our server explained that it was started from fresh fruits and vegetables in the owner's garden -- how could you not support that? The world needs more of these places -- that focus on healthy food options. While waiting on our waffle-egg breakfast sandwiches, a man came in to pick up his week's worth of smoothie cleanses. They, apparently, often offer to prepare meals and cleanses for regulars. How awesome is that?! They're on the daily menu as well. My friends and I were truly impressed and even discussed trying to franchise this and bring it to Ohio. We'd love to someday!

To be fair, I was looking for the great, freshly made burrito place that used to inhabit this spot. I am not a vegetarian, and certainly not a vegan. If you are, read no further. Only after looking at the menu was it evident that this was NOT where I meant to dine. It is not clear to me who the target audience is for this restaurant. According the the CDC, people allergic to gluten make up less than 4% of the population. Even if you are in this 4%, you may still be very disappointed. This is not a place for foodies, as the food has no, zero, nada flavor. I am a foodie and a chef. I regularly dine in first-tier restaurants around the globe. There is zero excuse for the lack of flavor in this food. This is not a place for people who are hungry, as the total calorie count on my meal was less than 300 calories and the portions were beyond minuscule. My tuna salad sandwich was about a half a croissant in size with 1 tablespoon of tasteless tuna on a equally tasteless (but gluten free!) croissant-like pastry. I asked for the bun to be toasted, and thank goodness, because toasting was indeed the only source of flavor. The half an ice-cream scoop of potato salad had some flavor, generally generated by the curry. The entire meal would fit in the palm of your hand and had the taste of curried air. I would be remiss if I didn't say that there were also 20 tiny sprouts on the tray. This is certainly not a place to dine if you are on a budget. The above "nothing" was $13.30, without a drink.

All I can say is wow! Ok I can say more. This place is delicious! My husband is a celiac and this eatery is 100% gf and organic. Best turkey burger I have ever had!

Without hesitation, this restaurant is ah-freakin-mazing! My standards are high when it comes to flavor and health of food, and Fresh First hit the bulls-eye on both marks, and will have my business again and again. I've referred a few people there and everyone agrees. They have their own in house gluten free bakery so all of the sandwiches are made with homemade delicious gluten free bread and biscuits and such. It's also 100% organic - which is unheard of for a restaurant! And, they're also corn and peanut free. Though even if you prioritize flavor over health, you won't be disappointed. Just be aware that the cost of organic food is higher, so prices do reflect this, but you're worth it! I hope Fresh First will expand locations. I would certainly help market it.

Great food, I had the Spinach Turkey Burger with the slaw, and my partner had the Raw Mock Tuna Sandwich, and we both had the chili to start. Chili was great, could have done with a bit more 'kick' but that's just personal preference. The chili was chunky and served hot and we both commented on wishing we could take some home for later! My turkey burger was delicious, with absolutely nothing that I'd want to change. The Raw Mock Tuna Sandwich was filling and very fresh, with the potato salad which both of us enjoyed. Smoothies - I ordered the blissful Blue smoothie which was fantastic, although it's purple haha. Partner had the Glorious Green which was zesty and great tasting... Overall a really good lunch and well worth a visit.

This place rocks! It is what it says....FRESH! It is all made fresh when you order....even their turkey apple sausage! Their smoothies are wonderful with all sorts of 'green' ingredients. ....kale, almonds, greens - you name it - and they have 'raw cleanses' too. Even the juices are freshly made. Gotta try this place!

Food is okay but customer service is incredibly below par. For that reason alone, we will not return.

I am a vegan first time going to this place. Not too much on the menu for vegans. Not much variety of drinks at all, the place was clean, fast service. I ordered quinoa, caulifauer, mushrooms, with peas. Very very good. But will i go again there . NO. still trying to find a great vegan restaurant like i did in AZ.

Just disembarked from our first cruise and wanted a healthy breakfast before sight seeing in Ft. Lauderdale. Wonderful breakfast. Accommodated all our allergies and absolutely delicious. All four sons ages 12-20 were very happy. Please open up in Nashville, TN.

This place was amazing! The people were super helpful with my very restrictive FODMAP diet issues. They are totally gluten free also and have a ton of amazing fresh food, filtered water, and are very allergin friendly. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Love that a healthy gluten free restaurant has opened in Fort Lauderdale Beach. The chicken salad sandwich is amazing and the daily soups are incredible. I can't wait to try the whole menu. It's a bit pricey but worth it to eat very healthy. Juices are refreshing as well.

First off ill start with the good. The food is excellent, healthy and fresh. The service on the other hand is absolutely terrible. Granted I came in during a very busy period as it was break on a nearby seminar. We sat at the counter to order and a stressed server said she'd take our order in one second. 20 minutes later after 20 people had been served before us in the go to line we flagged down our server and she said if "we wanted to do a to go order we would have to get in the to go line", I reminded her that she said she would be back with is one second to take our order 20 minutes ago and she got teary eyed and told me "it's not her fucking job". My girlfriend than went and waited in the back of the to go line. A few minutes to her credit the staff member did come over and apologize. Overall The whole staff was super stressed out and being rude and snappy to each other and to their customers. Would return during less busy times due to the excellent healthy food but they need a major retraining or new front line staff.

Came here thinking it was a juice bar. Food menu looked good. Juice menu was small nothing amazing. I opted for a smoothie that was $9. Tasted like watered down strawberry juice. It lacked any body and taste, probably would have helped if they included the avocado that was supposed to be in the drink. Wish I didn't have high hopes for the over priced drink.
